Steps to Convert a CCL Sample Cartridge to a CCL Purchased Cartridge in Schoology

Since the Common Cartridge previously provided was a sample, it does not allow for the appropriate number of students and instructors to activate subscriptions for the duration of the contract. To update the cartridge, you or your systems administrator will need to update the activation links within the course with the new URLs as indicated below.

1. Log in to your Schoology account and go to Schoology Resources.
   
    
2. Under My Resources, select the Collection to view its content.
   
    
3. Select the Resources folder to expand its contents.
   
    
4. Select the Gear icon to the right of INSTRUCTOR-Activate Your Subscription and then select Edit.
   
    
5. Delete the current URL. (This is the URL for the sample cartridge instructor activations.)
   
    
6. Replace the current URL with the URL sent via email from G-W Support upon purchase of the Full Access cartridge under Link Name: INSTRUCTOR-Activate Your Subscription.
   
    
7. Once the new link has been pasted into the URL field below, select Submit.
   
    
8. Select the Gear icon to the right of Activate Your Subscription and then select Edit.
   
    
9. Delete the current URL. (This is the URL for the sample cartridge student activations.)
   
    
10. Replace the current URL with the URL sent via email from G-W Support upon purchase of the Full Access cartridge under Link Name: Activate Your Subscription.
    
     
11. Once the new link has been pasted into the URL field below, select Submit.
    

Note: Both instructors and students will need to activate their subscription with the new links. Be sure to follow these steps for successful activation:

1. Add the INSTRUCTOR-Activate Your Subscription and Activate Your Subscription links to your course. (Instructors and students cannot activate their subscriptions via Schoology Resources.)
2. Adjust the LTI links by changing the Tool Provider to G-W Publisher/Goodheart-Willcox (whichever name your systems administrator labeled this tool).
3. Instructors will click on their activation link in any one course to gain access to materials in all courses.
4. Instructors will need to Publish the Activate Your Subscription link for students in each of their courses so each student can activate their new subscription.
5. Both instructors and students will now be able to access materials and resources in the course as long as they are published for student view.
