Steps to Create an Intelligent Agent in Brightspace/D2L

Use intelligent agents to monitor login activity, course activity, and release conditions in your course.

First, an instructor must decide:

   a)    criteria the agent looks for
   b)    content of the agent's email notification
   c)    how often the agent acts

Sample Intelligent Agent: Notifies learners to access their course if there has been no login activity after 5 days

1. From the course home page, select Course Tools and Intelligent Agents.
   
2. Select the New button.
   
3. Enter a Name for the agent.
   
4. Optional: Select Edit Description to expand the Description field and provide a description for this agent.
   
5. Select the checkbox to enable your agent.
   
6. Complete the Criteria, Actions, and Scheduling sections and select Save and Close.
   
7. This Intelligent Agent will go "live" once your site is activated.
