In this last of three interactive sessions, we examine Stage 3 within the Understanding by Design (UbD) Framework— Planning Learning Experiences and Instruction. The final stage in the Understanding by Design Framework, we will focus on how to use learning goals and purposeful and authentic assessments to create engaging and effective learning experiences and instruction. By the end of this session, you will know the characteristics of the best designs, the “WHERETO” elements of instructional planning, how to use the elements of stage 1 and 2 to guide lesson planning, and develop a plan to seamlessly integrate stage 3 into your current teaching practice.
