ExamView: Convert and Create ExamView Test Banks in Point Solutions for Mac Users

Starting with macOS 10.15 Catalina, Apple no longer supports 32-bit applications, including ExamView. With PointSolutions, you can convert your ExamView Test Bank Files. Once converted, you can use these files on your Mac.
 

Before following the steps below, please make sure you have read How to Use ExamView for Mac Users.

 

Important: If you do not have a Turning Technologies account, create one at https://account.turningtechnologies.com/account/.

Convert ExamView Test Banks to PointSolutions Question Lists

  1. Open PointSolutions and sign into your account (using your Turning Technologies Email and Password).
  2. Select the Content tab.
  3. Click the Content drop-down menu and select Convert ExamView/CPS File.
  4. Locate the ExamView files to convert. These will typically be found in the following file path: Applications>eInstruction>ExamView Pro>Banks
  5. Select OK to close the Import Summary. PointSolutions imports the file and places it under the Content tab.

Note: ExamView Test Banks are called Question Lists in PointSolutions

Create a Question List from Converted Content

  1. Open PointSolutions and Sign into your account (using your Turning Technologies Email and Password).
  2. Select the Content tab.
  3. Click the Content drop-down menu and select Content. Hover over New and select Question List. The Question List Wizard window will open.
  4. Enter a Name and brief Description (optional) for the question list. Then select From Existing Question Lists to create a question list using an existing test.
  5. Select content for the new question list. You may select one or multiple lists at once.
  6. You may Add While Viewing or Add Randomly to customize your Question List/Test.
  7. Select Save. The Question List Editor displays if you need to edit. Select Save and Close to save this Question List.
