How to Solve Most Access Issues in Canvas

Instructors, please make sure of the following:

  1. You are activating your subscription on a desktop/laptop device and not a mobile device (iPad/iPhone, Android).

  2. You are using the Google Chrome browser, especially if you are using a Mac computer.

  3. You are not in an incognito window in Google Chrome and not in a private window in Firefox.

  4. You have imported the Common Cartridge 1.x Package and not the Canvas Course Export Package.

  5. There is only 1 G-W App/LTI associated with the course. If you receive the following error message, "Status: 403, message: LTI login failed," this means there are two or more LTI’s associated with this course.

  6. You have deleted the course-level LTI labeled www.g-wonlinetextbooks.com (towards the bottom of the list of apps) if there is already a district-level LTI configured (names may vary).

  7. You have published the resource materials you want the students to be able to access including the “Activate Your Subscription” link.
