Setting Up G-W’s LTI Tool at the Course-Level
Instructors may or may not have the permissions to set up the LTI Tool at the course-level. If you are an instructor and find that you do not have permissions to configure the LTI Tool, please reach out to your Blackboard Learn Administrator for assistance. Please refer to the Integration PDF sent with the common cartridge (.imscc) file from G-W Support for the LTI Tool Configuration information.
- Open the course to which the common cartridge (.imscc) file has been imported.
- Under Course Management select Packages and Utilities, and then select Manage LTI Links.
- Select one of the Link Names that has the status as Broken. Select Edit Credentials.
- Find and open the Integration PDF that was sent with the common cartridge (.imscc) file from G-W Support for the LTI Tool Configuration information.
- Fill in the Tool Provider Key and Tool Provider Secret. Select Apply these credentials to all links in this course from this provider domain. Then, select Submit.
- The Status should now read Working.
Note: If you do not have these course-level permissions, you will need to work with your Blackboard Learn Admin. The Blackboard Learn Admin can follow the steps below to set up the LTI at the site-level.
Setting Up G-W’s LTI Tool at the Site-Level
Blackboard Learn Administrators will have the permissions to set up the LTI Tool at the site-level. Please refer to the Integration PDF sent with the common cartridge (.imscc) file from G-W Support for the LTI Tool Configuration information.
- From the Global Navigation Menu, select Admin to access the Administrator Panel.
- Under the Integration section, select LTI Tool Providers.
- Select Register LTI 1.1 Provider.
- Complete the required fields under Provider Domain Status using the Integration PDF sent with the common cartridge (.imscc) file by G-W Support.
- Provider Domain: www.g-wonlinetextbooks.com
- Provider Domain Status: Approved
- Enter additional information under Default Configuration using the information on the Integration PDF.
- Default Configuration: Set globally
- Tool Provider Key, Tool Provider Secret, and Tool Provider Custom Parameters: These can all be copied and pasted from the LTI Tool Configuration section of the Integration PDF.
- Enter additional information under Institution Policies using the information on the Integration PDF.
- Send User Data: Send user data only over SSL
- User Fields to Send: Select Role in Course, Name, and Email Address
- Allow Membership Service Access: No
- Select Submit to save.
