Schoology: How to Edit a G-W Quiz/Assessment

Depending on your version of Schoology, you may see an option to add/edit a quiz, or add/edit an assessment in the Add Materials drop-down menu. Once you have added a quiz to your course. You may now edit its contents by following the steps below.

Steps to Edit a G-W Quiz/Assessment in Schoology

  1. From inside a course, select a quiz/assessment you would like to edit.

     
  2. Within this view you can see the number of questions in the quiz, and the point value of each question.

     
  3. There are matching questions, true false, multiple choice, and short answer or essay questions.
     
  4. To begin, you may decide to change the name of the exam. To do so, select the Actions menu.

     
  5. Change the name of the exam file (i.e., Chapter 1 Exam)
  6. Change the Due Date
  7. Change the Number of Points
  8. Change the Category (i.e. Quizzes)
  9. Save Changes


     
  10. Instructors may edit any exam question within the assessment. First, click on a question item to edit: for example, click on a matching question and delete a prompt and its corresponding possible answer, or delete any true/false, multiple choice, or short answer question(s) you would like to remove from this exam.

     
  11. Rearrange the order of the questions in the assessment by dragging and dropping each question item in the order in which you would like it presented to your students.
     
  12. To delete questions, select the 3 dots to the right of a question item and select Delete.

     
  13. Once you are satisfied with your quiz, select the Preview tab to see what your students will view.

     
  14. Select the New Attempt button to review the quiz as a student.

     
  15. Once you are satisfied, select the X, and view the updated changes of this exam file in your course.
